Gannon, Camp Science Safari was created eleven years
ago as a love for all things science was combined
with a family history of sports and camp programs.
Laurie, who is one of ten children, grew up in San
Diego, where her parents ran sports camps from their
home throughout her youth. After teaching elementary
school for several years, she taught science part-time
in order to stay home with her then newborn son.
That love of science would soon rub off onto a young
toddler who was fascinated with all things dinosaur…hence,
a new camp program was born...a combination of dinosaur
lessons and sports that has evolved over the years
into a blend of archaeology, paleontology, science,
engineering, sports, arts and crafts, and more!!
With the addition of Camp Culinary Creations four
years ago, a new avenue of fun and challenging programs
added a new element unavailable anywhere else...sports
and crafts combined with the culinary arts! Today,
Camp Science Safari is one of the premier day camp
programs for children ages 4-12 in Southern California...experience
the difference!
